Darya Mitta is a professional watercolor artist whose work is defined by her expressive use of light and shadow. With an initial background in design, she shifted her focus to watercolor a decade ago, dedicating herself to mastering this medium. Her signature style captures vivid contrasts between light and dark, lending a unique depth to her subjects.

 

Whether she’s painting a bustling cityscape where shadows connect urban elements or a serene countryside sunset bathed in rich colors, Darya emphasizes the expressive qualities of luminosity. She teaches her students to treat light and shadow with equal importance, guiding them to use these elements to create compelling compositions and bring drama to diverse subjects.
